How the install works
Miracle Knots for Traditional Locs uses individually installed Miracle Knots™ to create a lightweight, low-tension look that reads like free-flowing curls. The service is an install-only appointment: the stylist attaches pre-made Miracle Knots onto existing locs, shaping curl movement without braiding the whole head or applying tension-heavy methods.
Because installs are knot-by-knot, the final appearance is determined by the curl pattern, the amount of bulk hair you provide, and each loc's natural thickness. You must bring 4–5 packs of 100% human bulk Miracle Knot hair (suggested Burmese curl) since the salon provides installation only, not the hair itself.
What happens at the appointment
Prepare by arriving with your locs freshly shampoo'd; that is required for this service. The appointment is focused strictly on installing Miracle Knots — it does not include loc maintenance, retightening, protective braids, or twists. Price and duration are quoted for the install only: $175 and 90 MINUTES.
Location and timing are set with commuter convenience in mind: HairCUSTOMIZED operates in the South Laurel / Laurel Lakes area, easy from I-95 or the MARC line. The stylist will work through the install efficiently, but the finished density, parting, and curl placement depend on the hair you provide and your existing loc pattern.
Aftercare and realistic limitations
After installation, curls respond to humidity, styling products, and daily wear. Mid-Atlantic summers can loosen curl definition faster than drier months, so expect natural movement rather than permanent shaping. This service does not include follow-up maintenance — retightening or corrective work requires a separate booking.
HairCUSTOMIZED installs only the Miracle Knots you bring. Bring 4–5 packs of 100% human bulk Miracle Knot hair (Burmese curl suggested); vendor suggestions include Tahikie, Betterlength, Ywig, QVR, and Nadia. Because protective styling like braids or twists is excluded, plan additional appointments if you want those options after the install.
