How the BRAID Method Works
The BRAID Method starts with establishing a precise loc grid sized to your hair density and the desired loc diameter. Each section is formed with a 3-strand braid and secured by interlocking at the root; because no added hair is used, the install relies solely on your natural hair and its pattern.
Technically, the braid foundation organizes new growth while the root interlock secures each section against early unraveling. Duration: 720 MINUTES is scheduled across two consecutive days so your stylist can carefully part, braid, and interlock without rushing—how the grid is placed directly shapes the final loc spacing and pattern.
What to Expect During Install
CONSULTATION REQUIRED prior to booking lets us confirm hair length, texture, scalp considerations, and the loc size you want. PRICE Begins at $1200 for the first 4 inches of hair. $300 for each additional inch of hair. The consultation measures length precisely and sets the two-day install schedule.

We offer evening and weekend slots for commuter and family schedules.
Aftercare and First Retie
The included First Retie appointment, scheduled four weeks after install, helps stabilize roots and demonstrates the beginning maintenance rhythm. During consultation we explain recommended retie timing and what to monitor at the scalp; following the agreed schedule reduces tension-related issues and supports an orderly locking process.
Mid-Atlantic weather—hot, humid summers and cooler winters—can influence drying and styling timelines, so aftercare guidance reflects local climate. Our Laurel location in the South Laurel / Laurel Lakes area is easy to reach for commuters using I-95 or the MARC line, making two-day appointments practical for local clients.
