Get answers to common questions about Instant Loc (Crochet Method) Maintenance.
Yes. A consultation is required to assess your hair history, loc condition, and service goals. This helps determine timing, necessary supplies, and whether additional add-ons or extended time will be needed for safe, effective crochet maintenance.
The appointment includes a professional shampoo and up to three hours of crochet maintenance focused on tightening, repairing loose hairs, and restoring parting. If additional work is needed, extended time or add-on services may be recommended.
After the included three hours, a $75 fee is added for every additional 30 minutes. Your stylist will monitor time and consult with you during the appointment so you can approve any extra increments before work continues.
Yes. Add-on services such as deep conditioning, steam treatment, and styling are available but not included in the base price. Please mention desired add-ons during your consultation so they can be scheduled and priced accordingly.
When performed by a trained loctician, crochet maintenance is safe and helps preserve loc integrity. Proper tension and technique minimize thinning or breakage. The consultation identifies fragile areas and the stylist adapts methods to protect your hair.
Frequency depends on growth rate, lifestyle, and desired neatness. Many clients book maintenance every 4–8 weeks. During consultation your stylist will recommend a personalized schedule to balance longevity, hair health, and styling preferences.
