Preparation and hair requirements
This service requires natural hair to be at least 3 inches long so the braids can anchor. Your hair must arrive shampooed and fully blow-dried, or you may add the shampoo/blow-dry option when booking. The appointment does NOT include additional styling beyond the cornrows themselves, so plan accordingly for events or follow-up styling needs.
Because clients in Laurel and the surrounding commuter communities often book before or after work, arriving with hair prepped saves time and helps us stay on schedule. If you live in or commute through the South Laurel / Laurel Lakes area, remember Mid-Atlantic humidity can affect freshly styled hair, so follow our aftercare guidance to maintain neat parts and braid tension.
What the styling involves
Intricate cornrows require careful sectioning and tight, consistent braiding to create detailed patterns. Added hair can be integrated for length or fullness at an additional cost when requested; the base service DOES NOT include supplied hair or extra styling. Price: $250. Duration: 360 MINUTES. The time reflects the precision needed for small, complex rows and secure attachment of added length when ordered.
Expect repeated checks of part symmetry and braid tension during the appointment; this is what produces crisp, long-wearing results. Because we work with detailed patterns, boxed parts are the standard included layout. Any parts other than boxed, or special placement, are available but will incur extra fees — plan those choices before your session.
Add-ons, booking and policies
Added length and parts beyond boxed are offered for an extra charge, and we can discuss those options when you call or text prior to scheduling. Please do reach out with photos or questions so we can confirm availability and pricing before you book. The service does not include supplied hair or additional styling services unless specifically purchased as an add-on.
We require clients to confirm details ahead of time and note that no changes can be made within 48 hours of an appointment. Our schedule serves Laurel, Jessup, Savage, Beltsville, Elkridge and Columbia; evening and weekend openings accommodate commuting and family schedules, so contact us early to reserve a slot that fits your travel or work plans.
